Shared afternoon tea for our friend's birthday. Had booked in advance, our table was reserved for us. Lovely selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes. Great chance to relax and catch up. Thank you Abbey Cake shop
I went to the Abbey cake shop for the first time to collect an order for someone which was 2 Chaturie boards. I collected one not realising the order was for two so had to go back to collect the second. When i did this, the first lady was very polite and helpful however the 2 other staff i was met with first could learn some customer service skills,being met with a not believable attitude and having to ask them to look at their order history that two instead of one was brought. They then gave me the second board but feel more organisation could be improved in what their customer has actually ordered and paid for. The boards were however fantastic and wouldn't mind going back there for future, however a little politeness and less unbothersome attitude would improve things, finding that this could intimidate others in actually requesting or querying their order as not many would go back being to worried to, so making others welcome and being attentive to orders would help alot, with other people telling me that staff can be rude in there. As i said, this was a first time visit and not a overly positive one,so im open to seeimg this as it was a busy day and you dont know what others go through, however consumers should feel welcomed when using a service.
Great little cake shop , tea coffee shop. We hired it for a baby shower. The food is lovely and fresh. Cakes are delicious

Absolutely lovely Cake Shop & Tearoom on Sheppey Island next to Minster Abbey. We spent all food & drink breaks in here. Lovely food also very friendly chatty staff too. Definately worth a visit.
Fantastic service and delicious! I asked the Abbey cake shop to make a special birthday surprise for my wife - it was a bit last minute, but they were transparent and accommodating and created an absolutely delicious key lime pie cheesecake for us. If you are thinking about just getting another supermarket cake, don’t. Go here!
